Broken

I love you so deeply, I hide the pain,
I must lie to you and say I'm ok,
That I've moved on, yet I stand still,
I cannot give my heart to anyone after how you made me feel,
I thought you were the one, no doubt in my mind,
I cannot bring myself to think of you, I still cry,
And maybe that's what I must do to get you out,
The tears from lies and promises that were never acted out,
Your words echoed through my heart and soul, I placed my trust in you,
I wholeheartedly believed every word you said, but then you never followed through,
I looked up to you and placed my heart in your hands, promised security,
I gave you unconditional love, I thought you completed me...
