Broken

her thoughts are frayed
her friendships lost
shes prayed and prayed
but joy has a cost

she feels betrayed
by those she loves
the pain lingers on
like blood on white gloves

her reflection judges her
glares in her face
she now has discovered
hate's bitter taste

blood drips from her wounds
where the knife's blade has cut
she sees no escape
from this bottomless rut

her dreams to a point
they're no longer pretend
she picks her head up
and looks for THE END
