Broken

Broken

You say I am broken
Yet how can this be
I have come for your help
Yet you do not see me

I will beg, I will plead
I will cry as I bleed
The help you have given
Is only a seed

The seed that now grows
So dark and despaired
This seed I so feel
Cannot be repaired

Why would you do this
What have you gained
Does it make you feel better
My soul now restrained

You say I am broken
Yet how could this be
You say it’s because
Of the horror I see

What do you say
When I tell you no more
No more will I feel
The horror from before

I am what I am
That is all that I see
For now the truth is
I am only me

If free will is the answer
If truth is the key
Then open the gate
And then set me free

Set me free from the dark
Let me into the light
I no longer want
Your darkness and fright

My choice being made
My will being strong
I can only pray now
My wait won’t be long
