Broken
Broken
by Feb Francisca Chaves
I never realized until now
that care not only for my love,
but also for the pain that turned me blue.
No more apologies,
for they cannot heal my scars.
I do not know you now—goodbye.
I have nothing more to give.
I do not want your presence.
If you come near, I will no longer
stand by your side.
That is why I have decided to let go.
It is better for me to tear away the memories,
to end the misery you caused.
I regret our romance,
but soon I will let it go and forget.
This lesson i know was,
So much pain for someone so young.
Especially of what a person shouted to you from his tongue.
I'm glad that I'm free to him at last!
And I wish upon a star
that you will find a love
who will share in who you truly are—
not just with me,
but in a new direction for where the place were never us meant to be.
