Broken

You shattered me like glass,?each shard a memory,?twisting in the light,?a cruel mosaic of us.?Your laughter, a distant echo,?now sharp as a knife,?cutting through the silence,?where our dreams once danced. I thought love was a fortress,?but you built a prison,?walls thick with your lies,?barbed wire of your indifference.?Every promise like a storm cloud,?dark, heavy, ready to break,?and I stood beneath it,?arms wide, waiting for rain. Now I’m left with this rubble,?the ghosts of what we were,?a bitter taste on my tongue,?the ashes of yesterday’s warmth.?You walked away, a thief,?stealing pieces of my heart,?leaving me to sift through the wreckage,?angry at the colors of your betrayal. I’ll gather my strength,?piece together my shattered soul,?find solace in the scars,?and rise from this chaos,?no longer bound by your shadow,?but fierce, like a wildfire,?ready to burn brighter,?to love again, but never you.
