Broken

Broken by the deepest sight of shadows
That crawl and are sly against the wall
Of depths they reach of greater distance
Forsaking what was theirs and more
For time never stopped the beating of ones heart
Nor took away the promise of tomorrow
For it was the barren landscape
Drawn along ones soul
The once used inspiration
Lies at the bottom of a chest
As the darkness hovers
The fate is laid to rest
For the soulful eyes never catch the simple morning
And the silent heart never breathed in the dawning
Upon a pale face lies more than laid
Upon a mournful brow
Tears ache and banter the pain
For there is no recovery of ones self beauty
If the shattered reflection remains
