Broken

I lay there in a thousand pieces
All I can do is cry
Wondering why
It's so hard to die
I'm broken.
My bruises
Scream out your name
As I lay
Gasping in pain
I'm broken.
I try to rise
And fall to the floor
Determined, I try
To rise once more
But you knock me down
Over and over again
Oh the agony
Oh the pain
I'm broken.
I try my best
To hide from you
But you still find me
You always do
You slit my wrist
Cut my heart in two
But foolishly
I stick to you
I'm broken.
You rip my soul
Away from me
I'm now a shell of
What I used to be
I'm broken.
You leave me there
And walk away
You take everything
To ensure I stay
Broken.

I lay there in a thousand pieces
All I can do is cry
Wondering why
It's so hard to die
I'm broken.
My bruises
Scream out your name
As I lay
Gasping in pain
I'm broken.
I try to rise
And fall to the floor
Determined, I try
To rise once more
But you knock me down
Over and over again
Oh the agony
Oh the pain
I'm broken.
I try my best
To hide from you
But you still find me
You always do
You slit my wrist
Cut my heart in two
But foolishly
I stick to you
I'm broken.
You rip my soul
Away from me
I'm now a shell of
What I used to be
I'm broken.
You leave me there
And walk away
You take everything
To ensure I stay
Broken.
