Broken

A picture paints a thousand words
What does your mirror say?

Victim
No control over life
Good things only happen to others

Victor
Achieve the impossible
Steel forged in fire

Your world is so full of anger and hate
You take your bad life out on everyone
Changing only the people and places
The pattern repeated over and over
Always in a fire and still not forged
Your useless dull blade

A picture paints a thousand words
Your mirror is speaking
But the words fall on deaf ears
Borrow my mirror and see
It says the same words as yours
Because it reflects a thousand words for you
But you only need to hear one

A universal message contained in this fine poem. I've been there along with many others. The individual always has to take responsibility and decide to change for the better.

Hi there. Yes, it is always the individual's responsibility no matter how much we try to help them improve. Some people can't be helped and they just make everything worse. Thank you!
