Broken

BROKEN Flying through a world of broken dreams Broken promises still whispering in ear Morning screams from broken coffee cup Broken hopes shattered in my mind Even nothing is so broken I can see it Broken heart still beating yet misses a tick Peeking through a broken useless keyhole At a broken comfortable lonely bed Drove downtown last night on broken road Broken smiles greeted me in the bar Walked home 'cause gas pump was broken Broken house welcomed me So here I sit a broken man Broken memories I can't fix Wishing for something better than broken Broken everything all around Copyright © 2019 Robert William Gruhn
