Broken

The most I heard you say I love you
Was on the nights when all you could think about
Was seeing what was concealed
Beneath my clothes

I peeled the fabric from my legs, my breasts,
My hips
Unwrapping the ivory flesh
That no eyes but yours and mine
Had seen
Because that was when
You loved me most
