Broken
The sky will shine brighter tonight Jitterbug,
It has you to add to its glory.
But down here I am left in the darkness,
With you having departed our story.
No longer will you battle the struggle,
Of chasing your demons away.
You can finally be at peace with yourself,
Now forever to you, I will pray.
For you are with the angels now,
Taken from us, but you’ve gained your wings.
I know you are in a better place,
But that doesn’t take away from the blow or the sting.
You are already greatly missed Jitterbug,
The impact- far and wide you have reached.
Unconditional love from all of us,
Something you show but cannot teach.
I’m waiting for you to walk through that door,
I’m waiting to take your call.
I’m so sorry I wasn’t there this time,
To catch you when you fall.
I feel so very empty inside,
I hope you didn’t feel pain when it came.
I have to pick up the shattered piece,
Without you, life will never be the same.
