Broken
Barely holding on
Stretched to the max
Bruised
Battered
Beaten into believing
Broken
I’m not worth having.
All I did was love you
Thought we were one
Brought into union of destiny
Forever bond we never knew should be
How mistaken was I,
Poor little me.
Prodded
Pricked
Pushed away
My bleeding heart
Pouring
Waterfalls aching with sadness
From a loss I never had.
Tear soaked pillows
Endless nights crying
Sleepless
Longing
For the love
I thought I always deserved.
Loneliness echoes
Exhausted attempts
Choice not to understand
Nauseating
Never-ending
Narcissism
Notwithstanding a show you put on.
Basking in your glow
Aura of selfishness.
Keep away I say
Keep me strong I pray.
True love on the way…….
