Brixworth
Summer breeze on an upside down perspective
Warm waters in the blue distance
Clarity still no closer than when I first arrived
How can I feel filled with unbridled joy
But still feel hollow empty tears to cry?
We walk for hours everyday
Trying to find a semblance of how we can change
We know the errors, the cause of the ache
Weakness is the crutch that hold us together and stops an early end
Lost words dontated to the sky
sitting on the lake like a dragonfly
You've forgotten me the second we stopped talking
I want to do the same
but your presence has taken over me
I keep breathing in the hopes you'll remember my name
Willow trees waving in the wind from the window
It's rustle sounds like applause from nature
Well done for making it to another nothing day
Well done for not doing something you wouldn't do anyway
Remember the days where the sea looked like glass?
Remember how the sun didn't feel cold and uninviting?
I've never learnt the name but I always loved the face
The sweet smell let me know they were nearby
The unspoken words I wished to say I'll always keep in my mind
Weight falls off like guilt dragging me down
Can't keep pushing through like everything is OK
Don't sleep don't eat don't don't cry don't smile don't drink don't give up don't die
The grass and the woods reach way up high
If we walk in together would we disappear from the prying eyes?
This summer breeze could cost everything
But better this than any other price
