Numb yawn of early Friday crawls
Through drowsy hours, a mind jangles
It twitches and shakes from weariness. Void.
By 6 am, my still world remains catatonic...
Gradually, exotic birds ( perhaps) tweet
An acapella of sounds ensues
Including the cat meowing its anthem:
Awakened...old robe slips down, down
While I stumble on a jar tightly locked,
Fingers opening its cap... robusta gig !
Vanilla scent excites caffeine madness
Eyes dilate, mouth prepares for an attack,
Caramel tinged with brew hot hot
Sugar added in the name of hysteria...
Espresso on the run,
The radio booms!
Cinnamon please...and whipped cream?
Now the day brings in its vibrating dance.
Surprise! Gather the warblers as I pour another round--
Friday, I’m ready to conquer you.
It’s show time!
