Brillance of a Child
There is no more brilliance than a child
Who brings wonder and intuition into a meadow
Chasing the faeries we thought were butterflies
Ingenuity on speed dial.
I watch her carefully, soaking in her flair.
Loving her creativity as she builds a fort
Out of sticks, moss, twigs, and a cardinal’s feather.
Genius takes on a whole new meaning
She is resourceful and clever, she has a knack for greatness.
I remember being her once upon a time.
She is the king of the unicorns now.
I smile at her intuitive intelligence and her inspired genius.
She is five.
