Brighteyes

Like little raindrops,
Tears fall from her eyes.
As they fall they are like,
Little stars in disguise.

As she looks about her,
At this desolate place.
She thinks to herself,
That life is such a waste.

These thoughts cloud her mind,
Her life so boring and gray.
Until He happens along,
And shows her the way.

And though these thoughts still follow,
She looks up at the sky.
And He whispers to her,
"It's ok, for you are my Brighteyes."

Then her world is no longer gray,
But full of color and light.
And she knows she's loved,
As He holds her tight.
