Bright-Eyed and ---
A squirrel with an acorn clenched
Between his tiny teeth
Ran past me to some shrubbery
And hid himself beneath.
He looked so cute it made me think
Suppose he was a rat;
I wouldn’t like it half as much
In nearby habitat.
Though both are rodents, in this case
Some prejudice prevails,
For charming or repellent seems
To rest upon their tails!
