Brightening Lives
Don't connect the dots.
Don't follow through.
Let the wheel roll.
Sound the sudden horn.
Let the matter rest or unrest.
Just make the faces laugh.
Give a good time.
Borrow your joy
When cornered,
When you have to.
Think how hard the sun works.
Does it know it's working,
Brightening lives?
Do you know your working
To brighten lives?
In your darkest cave,
In your most dreary self,
Smile in the dark mirror.
Make it all okay
For the rest of us.
For the soul is always permitting.
Give it play.
Shed the doomsday.
