Bright Light
He was what I never wanted; he was all I was against
Like a strange enemy I hated him, ever thing he was I hated
I never paid attention, his presence destroyed my comfort
I thought I had better things, things that will never involve him
He lights a candle, he lights a bright light
He made people laugh, I slept when the laughed
He tried to explain something, I wrote something different
To me it was noise, to others it was knowledge
I did not know the future, yet it was a matter of a few years
He lights a candle, he lights a bright light
I waited for his misfortune, it never came
I waited for his resignation, I saw a promotion
Until It was time to leave, I was finally away from him
I could forget all about him, I turned the page
He lights a candle, he lights a bright light
I saw him again, my heart jumped
Trying to flashback, he could not even remember
Just a simple talk and he was mine, he changed all that was dead
We crossed the fine line; it was separating love and hate
He lights a candle, he lights a bright light
I owe my life to him, my achievements he inspire
In failure he lifts me up, in success he shares a smile
He now makes me laugh, he sleeps when I laugh
There are no ways to thank him; I owe him more than that
He lights a candle, he lights a bright light
