Bright As the Moon

tell me who i am
i've again forgotten.
i've softened the
blow of what we
all know, sweetened
it with lies &
desperate disguises.
tell me where i'm going
i haven't any
blinking arrows
showing the way.
i can't recall
the me before the
fall- i crawled in
the dark, further
& further from the
light. the
shadows dance,
bright as the
moon. none left,
no worries,
gone too soon.
