Bridging Sand

Bridging Sand

Why have we
spanned the verdant valley,
arched the rivers solitude and peace,

altered the currents upon which winged talons feast.
Funneled life along a wandering concrete beast
denying footsteps upon the land,

strung wood and iron band.
Bridging sand?

Nette, I had the whole thing written and then checked the instructions on more time. The rhyme pattern had me up on that bridge. Thanks for the challenge and for your dedication to these contest. Love them.

Linda, I had trouble pronouncing "TROIS PAR HUIT" and more trouble writing one. Kinda like being on the high board for the first time trying to figure out which way to go. Thanks for the comment.
