Bridges

Bridges.........

Words from the heart,as the feelings are shown.
Bridges the distance, between fear and what's known.
The words pave the way, from me to you,
Holding us together,much like glue........
Cold wind awakens,the feelings inside,
Sometimes so strong,I feel I must hide.
From out of the shadows,a hand reaches out,
Understanding arises, from the shadows of doubt.....
The wind keeps on howling,I feel I must change,
Though I've been here before,so much is strange.
Just like a spirit,released from it's cage,
Love arises, from the ashes of rage.
The world spins faster, yet time just stands still,
I gaze to the valley, from on top of this hill.
Destiny awaits, for my fate to forfill...........
Bridges become the connection, between two hearts,
They seem rather infinite, the end becoming the start.
Sometimes when I feel sad,and all alone,
Bridges appear,to find my way home.
The distances that once felt like they were too far,
Dissolve right before us,as we see who we are.
Tattered and frayed, from the journey at hand
Bridges are dreams,to a far away land.
I awoke to realize all that I see,
I guess I discovered,just who I will be?
Words become bridges,between two thoughts,
They appear quite different,Although they're not...........

Sorry for the delay in response I've been out of town. I was on rt 95 in conn, when when side off the bridge collapsed this was in the late eighties. I was on the other side and watched as car drove off the edge it was a bit frightening.Bridges are good though and needed to connect two points....Mark
