Bridge To the Heart
He spoke,
Sounding so surreal
I could feel emotions traveling the distance that separated
I listened,
With deep intention, to the stories of newfound happiness, of connection, of love
Energy leaped out, onward, and beyond,
Mixing with fear
And, as if able to sense my all
Words were shared to remind me of my place
Of how things, ever changing as they may be, remain
Like heartbeats do inside bodies, as if inside their own-
Calming ambivalence blends with knowing to form an invisible bridge
As I, carefully find my home at the beginning.
