Bridge Over Troubled Water

If I could only take away your pain
You would always find my hand in yours
Need you by my side
A love for you so strong and never dies
Friend, husband, my lover
I’m forever yours
Sailing together on life’s rough journey
Right by your side forever
Behind us all our troubles, we just look forward to the future
Like our holiday in the sun 
A break we need so much since you have been so ill
Bridge built, no barrier we cannot overcome
Over all the years together
Troubled times are now in the past
Water under the bridge, your cancer is gone forever
I will be yours until the day we die
Will stay by your side
Ease back gently into the peaceful life we once knew
Your ever loving wife
Mind body and soul forever yours
