Brick Walls

Brick Walls

One may present some facts,
completely indisputable.
These are soon dismissed,
as being quite inscrutable.

Presenting flawless logic,
with greatest perspicuity
is immediately rejected
because of ambiguity

One may cite, eternal,
laws and codes and precedents.
"That's as well as may be,
but still it shows no evidence."

There'll be no revelations.
No change of hearts appear.
Debating is a waste of time,
To those who will not hear.

As one who rhymes and meters every poem, I very much enjoyed this. You managed to rhyme multi-syllable words in a way that made sense, not forced.

Thank you. Poetry is actually not my strong suit - it's hard work to make lines scan!
