Brick By Brick
Staring and comparing I find
condemnation in my purse-
No feeling inside healing as my
relinquishment gets worse.
Feed me, need me
hug me then tug me-
Allow me to free thee
as I end up last.
Love me, shove me
just don’t land above me-
Allow my decree to see thee
as I forget my awful past.
Lower than low as my conscience can’t
remember-
I forget that I know this nonsense
makes life no better.
I’m a wreck on the ground with no
sanity around-
I’m a speck that can’t be found,
as I have become homebound.
Brick by brick I fell and stumbled,
trick by trick my story crumbled-
Tucked and safe I find no mortality
stuck and faced with a death of totality.
Staring and comparing I find condemnation
in my mind-
Not seeing or believing…
a detached combination I find.
