Brexit - Just My Thoughts

Remain or leave was the question
Asked of the electorate at the referendum

The worlds our oyster we were told
No need for us to be Europhiles anymore

Those words were of the Eurosceptics
Because they wanted us to exit

So we all voted on our fate
And now we must all patiently wait
Whilst the politician’s still debate

If we remain or if we leave
Should I then forever grieve
When we know what seeds have been sown

Because whatever the outcome
It just won’t be the right one for some

For those who wanted us to stay
They will fight until the day
When they get their own way

For those that wanted us to Brexit
They will only be really pleased
On the day that we leave

Time is running out and a deal still to be done
With the Euro Parliament

But if we have another referendum
Wouldn’t it just change our nation

Because the result of any new vote
Will no longer be absolute or even stand

Until either the Europhiles or the Eurosceptics get the upper hand
