Brenda
Would this be another best seller?
As chapter one got under way,
Pages that were becoming very inviting,
Captivating and alluring,
Brenda wrote herself into the scene,
As if she had been transported by time,
Feeling like her life was becoming consumed,
By the story, she told that stormy night,
Rushing to catch the last boat home,
She jumped onboard just in time,
When she saw the handsome hunk driver,
Romance she thought as she looked into his eyes,
Thinking if she had seen this man before,
They got chatting realizes they were old school chums,
The storm blew and the boat rocked,
She fell into his arms, as he steadied her,
It’s ok he said don’t worry as he comforted her,
I know this area well, I’ll pull the boat into mooring,
We will have to stay here for the night,
He was the perfect gentleman,
Wrapped a warm blanket around her,
She felt safe with him in his strong arms,
They waited for the storm to blow out,
Staying close to each other and talked all night,
The next morning they continued on their journey,
Thank you, she said as she got off the boat,
He took her by her hand and kissed it,
Brenda thought at that moment,
How she could write herself into chapter two.
