Breathless
Genesis 2:7, Genesis 2: 20-22 (suggested: Genesis 2: 4- end of chapter)

When I checked his breathing,
There was none
I then checked his pulse and there was none,
He was breathless and so was I
My heart was breaking, his was gone
I had never faced this situation before
now, not sure as to what to do
No one had prepared me for this moment in my life
even though I knew one or the other of us would soon be going.
I called 911, and told them that he had been sick
and I thought he was dead
They sent someone but they could not pronounce him deceased
They had to call the coroner
A state of shock had hit me, but I called my daughter
She called my other daughter
Then people started coming in, some who listen to a scanner,
other EMS people who just come
He was breathless, lying there and
I was breathless but still alive, facing life
Without my other half
