On a cold clear night
A whisper becomes a shout
When breath can be seen

Up in New Hampshire's white mountains the wind seems to shout on these frigid nights. Enjoyed the image of breath "materializing" in the cold temperatures. Best wishes, Carolyn

Larry try this for the second verse: A whisper silently shouts ... it is not only paradoxical, but profoundly true ... and universalizes your haiku. Just because I love it, friend.
