Breathing In Spring
flash of a white fox tail
tiny itsy bitsy red lady bug
yellow dots barely showing
walnuts, acorns, mushrooms
the fey must be cheering
the woods bring a natural silence
opens to a meadow of wild flowers
queen anne’s lace in delicate white
purple asters with yellow centers
cattails next to the pond
straight as soldiers
splash of a frog
deep hoarse cough in the brush
flash of a deer’s black tail
my breathing changes
nature is my healing place
I sit in the grass
feeling the faeries watching
oooh a hoot owl
in the day time?
could anything be better?
