Breathe Or Breathing

There is this raging war An interminable conflict Questions unanswered Desires unfulfilled It runs in circles The what ifs and whys The how did that happens The should have been The mind as central server So weird the way it wields To recall what to forget To ignore what to keep The heart cannot feel The heart cannot see It’s the brain that beckons It’s what muscles the core Feelings and reasons Signals the mind conjures The brain might be gone Yet the heart still lingers While brain is the psyche That defines who we are Heart is the source of life That controls when to rest To end, given a choice Breathe over breathing I choose to leave than stay For the peace of mind I crave!
