Breathe

Why does it
hurt to breathe?
Is it him
haunting me?

I’m scared.
Yea, I know I’m filled with fear.
Dear...
He was dear to me,
He sure was.

But I know I can’t run
Because I’m tired.
I’m sure I’ve said it before—
Before he walked
through that door.

He’s gone.
And now I can’t breathe.
I can feel him
haunting me.

When I look to my sides
I can see this man
I want so desperately.
But I should try to stop.

But my love
is just too much.
I can see him
in front of me.
All I can think:
"Wow, isn’t this lovely?"

Do you think he remembers me?
Funny...
Does he?
Trust me, it’s probably fear
Because he’s there.
