Breathe
One statement spoken,
Mind goes blank.
Thoughts run as a river through a flood,
Nonstop, bleak, paralyzing.
The river builds up within,
Escaped, a few have through the center.
Breath so shallow, lights feel dim,
Pressure builds all around, all within.
Heat appears to radiate off,
Light as a feather limbs become.
Upright, weak and numb
A quiet place succumbs.
A breath is taken, over and over
Rapid release the river flows.
Count to ten, hold it in.
Breathe, until it starts again.
