Breath In

o tiny covered bead of skin
what's inside? what lays with in?
deep down, under a blanket of soil
you lay to sleep and hopefully eat
the sky's beverage seeps so you may drink
gives you strength to break slowly out of your skin
slowly pushing through your husk and breaking...free!
freely roaming beneath gravel and dirt
freely growing towards a heat that smiles on you
to emerge out into newborns like yourself
emerge into already aging brothers and sisters
to grow out and see mother and father already dying away
but that does not phase you, you are here! you are now!
o tiny covered due sapling of earth
why do you grow? what are you worth?
for now you are outside and weak
but do not worry the sun's at it's peak
let the rays embrace so you may live and...
