Breaking Up With You Was My Biggest Mistake

Looking at this bottle of Vodka, I've got some drinking to do
a song just came on, and now I can't stop thinking of you
I've got no one else to blame, I'm the cause of my own heart ache
Breaking up with you was my biggest mistake

Almost two years later and I'm realising my biggest mistake
I ran from my own heart, after I made it out of the maze
I realised what I could have, but my previous hurt made me fear it
I wouldn't get close before, now I'd do anything to be near it

You told me no one would love me like you do, and you were right
Because Here I am, missing you with tears in my eyes
I wish We could go back, and I would have never let you go
I wish I had one more chance to get you close

Tonight I'm thinking about you the more I drink
I'm trying to write, but my tears fall on the page before the ink
I'd put this pen down if it meant I could hold you in my arms
I thought hiding my feelings would be easy, but you're the one I hold in my heart

Half way through this bottle of Vodka and I've still got some drinking to do
I just want to stop thinking about you
This is my whole heart, these aren't just words on a page
Breaking up with you was my biggest mistake
