Breakfast Symphony

On one side of the kitchen,
he had a large skillet in which the bacon and ham
performed synchronized sizzling,
in a bath of bubbling hot grease.
The two smells collided in the air...
drifting out in all directions,
causing those who smelled it to salivate with anticipation.
In the warm oven, the scent of homemade biscuits
exploded with the smell of fresh hot bread.
One only need close their eyes to feel
transported to a bakery,
where the smell of fresh bread
permeated ones nose.
The coffee maker chimed in as it happily brewed along,
sending the aroma of robust coffee out to take its place
as one of the smells of breakfast.
It now is the eggs turn to participate...
as they are cracked and slid down into a pan
with soothing hot butter awaiting their arrival.
They begin to sizzle, keeping time with the bacon and ham,
as the breakfast symphony reaches its climax.

Wow, that made me hungry! I hate the idea of having to cook right now but I have visions of bacon and eggs...and a mocha would be nice along side! All your poems are so easy to visualize. Please don't write too many about food....I need to lose weight!
