Break the Silence In Memory of Battered Women

2 by 4, murder was written on the door
Her blood was spilled on the floor
Jesus I can not read any more
These stories can no longer be ignored
There should be tighter laws
Too many victims heading to the cemetery floor
Abuse should not be accepted or Ignored
Woman of sorrow
Time to break your silence
Blow the whistle on the cane
Don't stay silent and harbor the pain
Loose the chain and remove the stain
Tell yourself, you are created to gain
In this life chose to break free from the chain
Learn to live and aim
You can conqueror the cane
You can overcome the pain
You will not die or go insane
Your life will not be in vain
Now stand up and reveal his or her name.
