Break the Mirror

Philosophers and scientists agree
There is much more to life than we now know.
We do know we cannot trust what we see
The hand’s too quick and our eyes are too slow.

Who we are is the query of the day
And has been from the very dawn of time.
Are we closer to the truth? Who can say?
Answers will not be found in this here rhyme.

Perhaps our time is wasted on this quest.
Appreciation for our life is lost…
For any answer thought of is a guess
Until our soul the looking glass has crossed.

Navel gazing won’t make life much clearer…
Truth will come to those who break the mirror.
