Break

You said you're miserable,
I said I am too,
Breaking down on the last syllable.
Tears broke out later
When I realised
I will always love you,

No matter what I lose.

'...no matter what I lose.' There is sadness, yet a glimmer of redeeming faith and hope. So few lines, so much deep emotion... bittersweet. Thank you for this... it will resonate with many, the aim of enduring poetry.

The sun is shining bright here this morning in Ohio and I am enjoying reading some very interesting and excellent writing. So happy to see yours among the ones I am able to read this fine day before I get busy. Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for sharing your poetry with us Annie. Love, Carol
