Brave Me With Your Glow
Hear me as I echo your name on the highest mountain top
It took me a million miles to reach there,
But my youthful, torn-up heart never took a stop…dying like a desert crop
I look at your universe eyes as they stare
Into my own…
I’m all alone…
I’m an unanswered phone…
I need God to be my backbone
You are clearly on your own
I sit here alone
Into the unknown
I matter in God’s eyes of empathetic bravery
I shatter away the pain inside and set my soul free
Save me, for I’m spiralling in the deep, shadowy abyss
Brave my spirits of frightfulness…
Dismiss my distress more or less…
You flatter me with words of wisdom and understanding, left praying
You scatter away the pins and needles in my skin; stood there decaying
Courage and liberty is my solace melody
Of taking flight with so much splendid serenity
Brave my spirits with joyous glows
I will fight for the truth as it grows
So, will you shelter me with highs and lows?
Listen to the glistening auras of my heart pounding in my chest
It shook me to the deepest core
That my meandering, messed-up mind is what you detest at your very best —
It buried in me scars that I bear
Into my own…
I’m all alone…
I’m an unanswered phone…
I need God to be my backbone
You are clearly on your own
I sit here alone
Into the unknown
I matter in God’s eyes of empathetic bravery
I shatter away the pain inside and set my soul free
Save me, for I’m spiralling in the deep, shadowy abyss
Brave my spirits of frightfulness…
Dismiss my distress more or less…
You flatter me with words of wisdom and understanding, left praying
You scatter away the pins and needles in my skin; stood there decaying
Courage and liberty is my solace melody
Of taking flight with so much splendid serenity
Brave my spirits with joyous glows
I will fight for the truth as it grows
So, will you shelter me with highs and lows?
If I were next to you in the waves of the breeze,
My whole body would feel entirely free
If you lay upon my heart and be close to mine at ease,
My soul, heart and mind will feel ecstasy
Will you save me from captivity?
I have lost my head down below in the undertoe
Will you cradle me close, baby?
I have found myself, longing for you and your glow
Into my own…
I’m all alone…
I’m an unanswered phone…
I need God to be my backbone
You are clearly on your own
I sit here alone
Into the unknown
I matter in God’s eyes of empathetic bravery
I shatter away the pain inside and set my soul free
Save me, for I’m spiralling in the deep, shadowy abyss
Brave my spirits of frightfulness…
Dismiss my distress more or less…
You flatter me with words of wisdom and understanding, left praying
You scatter away the pins and needles in my skin; stood there decaying
Courage and liberty is my solace melody
Of taking flight with so much splendid serenity
Brave my spirits with joyous glows
I will fight for the truth as it grows
So, will you shelter me with highs and lows?
I will fight for your touch somehow
Miss you very much so, hope you know
I heard you had a cold heart now…
So, I go and seek another rainbow
