Boy To Man
I remember you, when I was a boy,
And you were a girl different from me.
Although you were as cute as cute could be,
I was more concerned with playing with toys.
When I saw you again, it brought me joy,
Because I had found a new way to see.
What I saw almost brought me to my knees!
Therefore, pursuing you became my ploy.
I learned how to touch you, hold you, kiss you,
And how to listen without asking why.
I learned how to do what i had to do.
And, what I could not do, I would still try.
I did whatever I could to stay true,
And now that I miss you, I, too, must cry!
