Bouts of Exaggeration

A friend of mine lives in a fantasy,
thinking everything revolves around him.
And I never really know what's true;
in his world, pigs fly, and ostriches swim.
He trumps truth with lies and hyperbole,
upon life's phantasmagorical trip.
And journeys beyond the impossible,
totally free of reality's grip.
He's, the cup is half-full, type optimist
that was born with an indelible smile.
And he'll amaze you with tales of his deeds;
just don't put his honesty on trial.
He's tethered to his imagination,
thus prone to bouts of exaggeration.
