Bouquet of Roses
A man usually gives a woman a bouquet of roses,
If he likes her, his way of saying that she blesses him.
The interaction of a man and a woman is very complex,
I received a single yellow rose from a boyfriend once.
We used to go to discussions together,
We became friends and fell in-love, dated for awhile.
I would have married him, he was handsome and very nice,
He never proposed marriage, after my divorce i never married again.
My divorced husband and my children are all friends,
We all continue to write our story with relatives and companions.
When I retired I met someone very handsome, fell in love the day we met,
We are good friends now which is God's blessing.
We even hugged and kissed as friends, what a miracle our friendship.
He appreciates my art and poetry, I am very blessed.
Now I purchase a bouquet of roses, place them on my table,
Thankful for the many beautiful experiences and friends.
