Bound By Shadows

Beneath the weight of soil and stone,
A spirit trapped, feeling alone,
Yearning for the sky's rebirth,
Bound by the confines of Earth.

Eyes cast upward, dreams take flight,
Yet tethered still, day and night,
Whispers of the wind unheard,
Silent cries, a caged bird.

Roots entwine around my heart,
Holding tight, refusing to part,
Beneath the moon's cold, haunting gaze,
A thief of souls in the shadows plays.

Beneath the weight of forgotten dreams,
Whispers of the lost tear at the seams,
In the void where shadows creep,
I’ll linger on, in eternal sleep.
