BOTTOM UP BURDEN
Oh no, it appears as though I've stumbled
Into a burden of TRUTH you can't bear
I'm just a toddler, learning the ropes
Maybe we could share
Lord o' mercy, this room is a mess
I can tidy up so it looks good
I've learned how to avoid the deep clean
Organization puts everything where it should
...be
Well there's just so many of us
It's natural to leave me behind
It's certainly an accident
You have so many worries on your mind
Dates on a calendar to celebrate
I'm so happy everyone is dancing about
It feels like the use of my birth
Provides the catalyst to leave me out
...side
I understand my voice isn't thrilling
And you silence my words at every turn
Maybe if I bend them into pretty poetry
You can put me in a place I've properly earned
Aww, so that's it, that's your truth
It's responsibility you are trying to avoid
Your resistance has developed to a wall
And my presence, alone, has you very annoyed
...shielded
No thank you, I'm going to stand
Free from the burden and strain upon my back
I will speak the TRUTH of your love
And return to the rightful owners, this heavy sack
You noticed, the smell coming from your package
It has rotted without connection
You can clean and sort all you want
But I will not extend my affection
...again
