Bottom of the Bowl

i've drunk enough
soup to say
i'm stuffed

and
have even
choked on ugh

somethings wrong
garcon no more
s'il vous plaît

alphabet soup
should be made
of more then z's

sneezing
pardon
i'll find

another
restaurant
where i want

more to tease
then these
soups

and salads
though Maureen's
secret recipe tantalizes

me but
i must put
my napkin up

on the table
unable to order
a full course meal

i must
ask may
i have yes

i wish
to pay
the bill

Skip the bill and keep writing Jeff. I stepped back from posting anything for nearly a year and then decided I write what I want for myself so the small stuff(ing) doesn't matter. :)

Thanks Linda. I did post one recently. I got bored with it lol. Read some of my older stuff, and reported to PoetrySoup "headquarters" that my own poem was poorly written. I simply just enjoy reading what other's have written. Perhaps you can recommend poets that you enjoy, and I'll check them out. Thanks...

Even though I may only be an occasional appetizer, I have very much enjoyed partaking in your baked goods. Sorry to hear you have posted your last piece. It is a person’s prerogative to change their mind. I hope that you do.

Don't worry Alkas. I do come back to read yours and two others. You've alwaysl been a friend, and in my eyes a GRANDE poet Alkas.

Now I get it. I have felt similar indigestion. Even brought up some stinky writes from within my own triggered viscera. But there are nights when one of my favourite cooks is working the line, they keep me coming back for more. Always tipping. Hugs my friend

I have been coming back for more. You and two others are on the menu. But I don't need to be tasted by sous chefs to make me happy with what I cook. I'll keep cooking until all the mental ingredients run out. Thanks Maureen for more than appetizers, but full meals. YOU are my favorite Chef.
