July 8, 2023~Bottle Garden Contest~Host: Julia Ward

I found a large glass container in an antique store. My panoptic vision for it became so much more... A bottle garden that would bring me such pleasure, so, it grew into a tiny jungle of plants to treasure. I nurtured it quite tenderly for almost two years but one morning, what I found left me in tears. Tiny mites and aphids stripped all the foliage clean. I'll burn my bottle garden and pests with kerosene.

Hiya Jack. This is a fictional write. I used to have one in a 5 gallon glass water bottle and it was doing fine until my little one decided she'd water it for me... about a gallon's worth of water. lol Thanks.

I really like this poem. Thanks to you and Jan, I now know what a bottle garden is. I went a different way with it.

It's a terrarium and I'm certain you've heard of that. Thanks, Andrea. What matters is that you entered. ;-)

I would’ve named this one Molotov cocktail Lin, yes I liked the way you wrapped it up without compromise, the expedient way is sometimes the best way when dealing with pests, a dark one for sure, excellently penned, cheers David

Merci, David... One pest is yet to be burned, but that one will not be torched by my hand, perhaps just a titch singed. 'twas such a promising tale until the pests arrived.

Hi, Tania. I thought it a bit unusual, but it's just as well that it didn't make it. Some things get terminated without warning. ;-)

My rhyming may be alive and well, Paula but my bottle garden was a failure. Thanks!
