Both Mom and Dad

Mom,
And Dad,
For daughter,
She rose alone,
Strong and decisive,
Compassionate giving,
She guided her completely,
Sharing a strength for life and love,
Losing her mother within the years,
She perseveres, solemnly rewarded.

This is very touching, Cecil, and I admire the strength of people who raise children on their own. If this was written for Brian's contest, it should do well! Love, Carolyn
