Born Poet
If the sounds that I was making while I was in my mother's womb
could be translated into words
they would construct a poem
so the construction of poetry in me was in progress before I was conceived
the purpose of my poems is to tell the truth on my behalf
so when I leave this cruel world
I don't want a pastor at my funeral
who is going to shot out lies on my behalf
instead I want my poems to be recited
Rappers could try by all means to destroy poetry
even though rap wouldn't exist without poetry
so in the roots of rap is where I will forever remain
which is poetry
poetry is alienated because people can't digest the truth
the truth that could nurture their knowledge
instead the want lies that bring a smile upon satan's face
